Turmeric Latte is the age-old super drink that is taking the world by a storm!

One of my earliest memories of my childhood is my grandmother forcing me to drink “haldi wala doodh” (Turmeric Milk) whenever I got sick. I am sure many of you would have had similar experiences with your parents, grandparents or other elders in house. Their reason was not unfounded. Turmeric Milk or Turmeric Latte, as referred to in the west, is loaded with anti-oxidants and anti-inflammatory properties, making it a super drink for a wide range of internal and external ailments.

The Turmeric Milk or Turmeric Latte is not only popular in India, it has recently gained a lot of popularity in the west too. This has also led to the drink earning a spot on the menus of top coffee shops, tea bars and restaurants. Some, in the west, are calling it the miracle drink whereas others are terming it as the next big thing. The Well and Good has termed this Superfood latte the “Matcha of 2018”, which gained huge popularity as a superfood in 2016-17; the guardian calls it “a drink for fit Midas’ whereas the Telegraph has called it as the “breakout star”. Whatever might the case be, we are just happy that our bit of wisdom is gaining popularity on the world stage.

Recipe 1

You Will Need
